Peace

There are battles people fight that no one sees. Some happen in silence. Some happen behind a smile. Some happen in the quiet hours, when the world is asleep and the heart has nowhere left to hide. Peace begins there. Not in a perfect place. Not in a bright place. But in the place where the soul feels tired of carrying everything alone. The world can become loud. It can pull, tempt, judge, consume, and demand. It can make a person feel like they are never enough, never understood, never truly seen. Over time, that weight can turn into emptiness — a kind of war inside the heart. Yet even in that darkness, something remains. A small breath. A small light. As the opening chapter of PSALM, Peace sets the foundation for the journey ahead. It is a song for the tired soul. For the one who has carried too much. For the one standing at the edge, wondering if there is still a way forward. And through the darkness, peace begins to speak: You are not finished. You are not forgotten. You are being restored. Before direction, before healing, before the way back home, there must first be peace — the kind that reaches deeper than circumstances and reminds the broken soul that it is not forgotten.
